Today, Dick Cheney is appearing in West Windsor NJ at a Republican fundraiser... What does that have to with anything? They cut us loose in Trenton at 3 because they anticipated Rt 1 being shut down. So I got home at 4 to see THIS.....

Chutes and Ladders

Today, the 'A' frame, the dormers, and the rest of the roof framing. I decided to put up a ladder and check it out. First, heres the standard 3 photos:

It's gettin' a bit "roomy" around here...

First thing I have to say is: Hats off the guys doing the construction work. They're out here in the sun all day, in 95 degree heat, and look at the fabulous job they're doing. We can see the rooms, and the doorways, and the windows that we asked for just a few short days ago
This work is moving along at an amazing pace....

All I want for Christmas is a new roof...

OK, so I get home at 6 and see this. They're still pounding on the house trying to close it up before the rain comes. I'm going out to eat, its too noisy here....

It's All Happening!

It's Day 1 - July 18, 2005

Building materials have arrived and are spread about the area bordering 20th Avenue. They are pictured here in several photos. We have not heard definitively from the builder yet today, but it is obvious that preparations are under way for the big buildup.

Stay tuned for more information as things will surely change on a daily basis.

The Introduction

Welcome! Beginning Monday July 18, 2005, our 3 bedroom, 1 bath Ranch will have it's roof removed. Posted here will be comments and pictures of what's going on. We will be living in the house while the work is being done, so check back frequently, as I will be updating this blog each time a change is made to the house. It will become a 5 Bedroom 3 bath raised ranch. Here for your frame of reference is the house as it was pictured last summer after the siding was done, and a number of trees were removed. The house looks pretty much the same right now. But beginning Monday, all that will change.... stay tuned.....
